Zusammenfassung:	PURPOSE: To provide an air flow type classifying apparatus which gives an accurate classifying point, makes more highly accurate classification possible and can produce efficiently a powder with a precise particle size distribution and a method for preparing a toner by using the air flow type classifying apparatus. CONSTITUTION: An air flow type classifying apparatus for classifying a powdery raw material fed from a raw material feeding nozzle into at least a coarse powder group, an intermediate powder group and a fine powder group based on a Coanda effect in a classifying region formed at least of a Coanda block and a plurality of classification edges 17 and 18, is provided and the air flow type classifying apparatus wherein the installed positions of classification edge blocks 24 and 25 providing classification edges 17 and 18 can be changed so as to change the shape of the classifying region, is provided.
