PRESSURE SENSITIVE SWITCHING ELEMENT

PURPOSE: To prevent an upper conductor contact and a lower conductor contact from being brought into contact with outside air for the purpose of protecting the contacts so as to prevent conductive short-circuit between the contacts by forming an elastic insulating coating, a conductive coating and an insulating protection coating on the lower conductor contact in order. CONSTITUTION: An elastic insulating coating 8 having flexibility is formed directly on the surface of a lower conductor contact 5, and a conductive coating 9 is formed on the elastic insulating coating 8. In this way, the surface of the contact 5 is not brought into contact with outside air, so that no damage or penetration of foreign matters is caused on the surface of the contact 5 and as a result, no conductive short-circuit occurs in the contact 5. Because of elasticity of the coating 8, a touch feeling in switch pressing operation can be sufficiently obtained. By forming an insulating protection coating 10 on the surface of the coating 9, penetration of moisture or the like into the coatings 8, 9 can be surely prevented. Surface damage, which may occur in a conventional switch, in the contact is prevented, and conductive short-circuit due to a foreign matter such as carbon powder can be prevented.
