LUBRICATING DEVICE IN GEAR TRANSMISSION

PURPOSE: To avoid a shortage of lubrication to a radial surface and to a thrust surface of a gear transmission, in which a clearance between gears neighboring with each other is small, by damming up the stream of lubricating oil, which flows through a tooth hole in the axial direction, by means of a weir member, converting the stream into a stream flowing inward in the radial direction, and supplying the lubricating oil to the thrust surface and to the radial surface. CONSTITUTION: An annular plate 3, which is provided with an outwardly projected piece 31 that is projecting outward in the radial direction and an inwardly projected piece 32 for positioning, dams up the stream of lubricating oil flowing through a tooth hole 24 in the axial direction, taking advantage of the outwardly projected piece 31. The lubricating oil thus dammed up is supplied inward in the radial direction, owing to a radial tooth bottom hole 25, which is formed at the central part in the axial direction of a tooth bottom 23, so that the oil is supplied to a radial surface 26 and to a thrust surface 431 that is formed between the annular plate 3 and a washer 43 facing to the plate 3. With this, a shortage of lubrication to the radial surface 26 of a gear transmission, in which a clearance between ears neighboring with each other is small, can be avoided.
