REPLACEMENT METHOD OF SNAP TAP WITH SADDLE FOR WATER WORKS WITHOUT SUSPENDING WATER SUPPLY

PURPOSE: To easily replace a snap tap by closing a valve and fitting a packing pipe, inserting a round bar therein and opening the valve, blockading the through hole of a distributing water pipe with the extreme end taper part of the round bar so as to replace the snap tap with a new one, and removing the round bar. CONSTITUTION: The valve of an old snap tap 1 with saddle is closed and a feed water pipe is removed, a packing pipe 4 with escaping water pipe having an inner valve is set, and an extreme end taper threaded round bar 5 is inserted into the packing pipe 4 from the upper side. Next it is stopped over the valve of the snap tap 1, the valve is opened and the round bar 5 is advanced, the through hole of a distributing water pipe 6 is blockaded, water stop is confirmed, and the snap tap is drawn upward and withdrawn. Next a new snap tap with saddle for feeding water is insertedly fitted from the upper side, and the round bar 5 and the packing pipe 4 fitted to the new snap tap with saddle are removed and the valve is closed. Hereby for replacing the saddle, it can be simply replaced or the water supply bore can be changed, without necessity of suspending the water supply.
