COPPER-BASE SEGREGATION PREVENTIVE MIXED POWDER AND ITS PRODUCTION

PURPOSE: To produce a copper-base mixed powder capable of preventing the segregation without hindering sintering in a copper-base material with its sintering hindered by an org. binder. CONSTITUTION: The copper powder or copper alloy powder as a main-component powder 1 and the tin powder, lead powder, zinc powder, aluminum powder and graphite powder used in the copper-base powder metallurgy as an auxiliary- component powder 2 are bound together with 0.01-0.10% org. powder 3, based on the total weight of the main-component powder and auxiliary-component powder, to constitute a segregation preventive mixed powder. The mixed powder is also produced by mixing the auxiliary-component powder coated with the org. binder and the main-component powder wetted with water and drying the mixture, by compacting a mixture of the main-component powder or auxiliary-component powder and the org. binder, drying and disintegrating the compact or by mixing the auxiliary-component powder coated with the org. binder and the main-component powder wetted with water, compacting the mixture, drying and disintegrating the compact.
