Zusammenfassung:	PURPOSE: To facilitate the production of a coke having a large particle diameter and a necessary strength using a chamber oven extensively used industrially at present, without particularly taking account of feedstock coal mixing, etc. CONSTITUTION: A process for producing a coke which comprises packing a mixed coal feedstock A into a carbonization chamber 11 of a chamber oven and carbonizing the coal A, wherein the chamber 11 comprises firebrick walls 12 and 13 and have flues 14 and 15 on the respective outer sides of the walls 12 and 13, and one of the flues 14 and 15 is used to indirectly heat the coal A through the corresponding wall 12 or 13 to carbonize the coal A.
