COMPATIBILIZER FOR POLYMER ALLOY AND THERMOPLASTIC RESIN COMPOSITION BLENDING THE SAME

PURPOSE: To obtain the subject compatibilizer comprising a copolymer composed of a specific acrylic polymer unit and an aromatic vinyl-based polymer unit, especially excellent in compatibilizing property with a polymer alloy consisting of an aromatic polycarbonate with ABS and capable of providing impact resistance and delamination resistance to the polymer alloy. CONSTITUTION: This compatibilizer comprises a copolymer (e.g. a block copolymer or a graft copolymer having 10000-2000000 weight-average molecular weight) which is constituted of (A) a high molecular polymer unit composed of a (meth) acrylic acid ester of formula I [R is H or CH3 ; R is a carbon ring group or a hydrocarbon group comprising a carbon chain to which a carbon ring is bound] or formula II [R is R ; R is R ; (n) is 1-4] [e.g. 4-methylphenyl (meth)acrylate or 2-phenoxyethyl (meth)acrylate] and methyl (meth)acrylate and (B) a high molecular polymer unit composed of an unsaturated nitrile such as acrylonitrile and an aromatic vinyl.
