Zusammenfassung:	PURPOSE: To improve fitting accuracy, reduce weight and facilitate the fitting of parts by dividing an instrument member formed long in the lateral direction, forming steering bracket fitting parts at one member, and providing the joint members of both members with stays for fitting sound equipment or the like. CONSTITUTION: An instrument member 20 is divided into a driver's seat side member 1 and an assistant's seat side member 11. The driver's seat side member 1 is formed into closed cross section by welding both joint parts 2, 3, and the assistant's seat side member 11 is also formed into closed cross section by welding both joint parts of plates 12, 13. Steering bracket fitting parts 4, 5 are integrally formed at the upper and lower members 2, 3 by pressing, and the flange is formed into closed cross section by spot-welding. Stays 16 for fitting sound equipment or the like are to be pressed molds, and brackets with fitting holes for fitting the stays 16 to the assistant's seat side member 11 or the driver's seat side member 1 are formed at the upper ends of the stays 16, while the lower ends are provided with fitting holes for fitting the stays 16 to the tunnel of the floor.
