Zusammenfassung:	PURPOSE: To provide an operating method of the process line capable of incorporating the nun-continuous operating equipment or an equipment with high failure rate in an equipment to continuously pass the strip-shaped steel sheet. CONSTITUTION: A loop 1 to store the strip, a strip treating equipment 2, a loop 2 to store the strip, and a strip treating equipment 3 are successively arranged after a strip treating equipment 1. The shorter end side of the loop 1 is the synchronous point, and the longer end side of the loop 2 is the synchronous point, and when the strip treating equipment 2 is stopped, the loop 1 is moved in the longer end direction and the loop 2 is moved in the shorter end direction to realize the constitution that the strip treating equipment 1 and the strip treating equipment 3 can be operated even when the strip treating equipment 2 is stopped. The loop amount of the loop 1 is controlled by the speed of the strip treating equipment 2, while the loop amount of loop 2 is controlled by the speed of the strip treating equipment 1 through a dead zone.
