FURNITURE TIPPING-OVER PREVENTION DEVICE

PURPOSE: To prevent damaging a piece of furniture when transporting or storing another piece of furniture and to prevent obstructing transportation and storage by embedding one bracket into place so that it does not protrude from the upper surface of furniture, and connecting the other bracket via a connection means to a fixed connection provided at the former bracket, and connecting the brackets to the furniture. CONSTITUTION: A cavity 5 in which brackets 3, 4 can be embedded into place without projecting is formed in the upper surface of a top 2. When the bracket 3 is formed by one component piece 3a of a hinge 6, the cavity 5 should be deep enough for the component piece 3a to be embedded into place and for the other component piece 4a of the hinge 6 to be embedded into place at the same time. A connecting shaft 8a constituting a connection means 8 is passed through a shaft passing portion 7a constituting a fixed connection 7 between the component pieces 4a, 3a, and the component pieces 3a, 4a are connected together by the connecting shaft 8a. Therefore, firm installation is made possible without causing a sense of discomfort through causing damage to furniture, etc.
