Zusammenfassung:	PURPOSE: To delete undesired part of image data and to minimize the quantity of image data after compression. CONSTITUTION: Image data are inputted to an image input means 1, and mask data representing an area of specific area image data in image data generated in other system or the like are inputted to a mask data input means 2. A deletion means 3 sets a circumscribed frame circumscribing a mask area in the mask data and deletes an undesired area other than the area surrounded by the circumscribed frame to generate reduced area image data whose quantity is reduced. A processing means 4 revises the reduced image data of the image area other than the mask area to be a prescribed value.
