Zusammenfassung:	PURPOSE: To shorten the time required for the purpose of inspecting and determining the performance and quality of an air conditioner by operating the air conditioner in a special state of operation which differs in a usual state. CONSTITUTION: The title apparatus is composed of a remote controller, an indoor machine 1, a receiving part provided inside or outside the indoor machine 1, an operating switch 7 provided on the indoor machine 1, an outdoor machine 5, an indoor controller which is provided inside the indoor machine 1, decodes a signal from the receiving part and controls communication with the outdoor machine 5, and an outdoor controller which is provided inside the outdoor machine 5 and controls communication with the indoor machine 1. Other action is performed in addition to the normal action of an air conditioner, by receiving a specialized signal, which differs from the signal being used for usual operation of the air conditioner, at the receiving part according to predetermined order.
