Zusammenfassung:	PURPOSE: To enhance reliability as the whole control device by taking a measure against disappearance of data by a change with the lapse of time or the like of an electronic control device. CONSTITUTION: Whether or not data of a PROM 14 being individual data with every vehicle is normal is judged. When its restoration is impossible if PROM data is abnormal, whether a vehicle is put in a stopping condition or a starting condition is judged. Here, when the vehicle is put in a stopping condition or a starting condition, transmission of correct data is required of an external control device 5, and processing to write the received data in the PROM 14 is practiced. Therefore, when the individual data stored in the PROM 14 disappears due to a change with the lapse of time or the like, correct data is obtained from the external control device 5, and the individual data can be restored by rewriting.
