Zusammenfassung:	PURPOSE: To reduce weight of an engine by dispensing with a hole for forming an oil passage on a bottom of an oil pan, and securing sufficient strength of the oil pan even with a comparatively thin thickness. CONSTITUTION: An opening 4 is formed on a peripheral side of an oil pan 1 of an engine E, and covered with a peripheral side cover 3. An increase oil pan 2 is installed on a lower side of the oil pan 1. In an engine having the increase oil pan 2, an oil outlet 7 is formed on the peripheral side cover 3 by removing an expanded portion 14 obtained by outwardly expanding the cover 3 from a longitudinal wall part 6. An oil inlet 12 is formed on the peripheral side of the increase oil pan 2. The oil outlet 7 and the oil inlet 12 are together covered with an oil through cover 8. The oil through cover 8 is internally provided with an oil passage 5 for communicating the oil outlet 7 with the oil inlet 12.
