BREAKER REPLACEMENT TOOL

PURPOSE: To prevent a short circuit and wrong connection of wires by holding the arrangement of wires in its state during replacement of a breaker. CONSTITUTION: A load side wire is disconnected from a breaker 40, and the breaker 40 is removed from a panelboard and a protection plate 20 is mounted on the back of the breaker. Next, a wire holding tool 10 is made to abut to the protection plate 20, and power side wires 52 to 54 are put inside a holding piece 6 and held in place. The wires 52 to 54 are then extracted from the breaker 40 together with the wire holding tool 10. Next, the protection plate 20 is mounted in advance on a replacement breaker, and the wires 52 to 54 are inserted into the replacement breaker and connected by sliding the wire holding tool 10 against the protection plate 20 from the direction of wire insertion. Then the wire holding tool 10 is disconnected from the wires 52 to 54 and the protection plate 20 is removed from the replacement breaker. Further, the load side wire is connected and attached to the panelboard.
