METHOD FOR SEPARATING DIFFERENT KINDS OF COKES IN CDQ EQUIPMENT

PURPOSE: To enable the separation of three kinds of cokes in one cooling chamber of a shaft kiln type by switching the destination of transport of a specific kind of coke, another kind of coke, and their mixture. CONSTITUTION: After a cooling chamber 1 is confirmed to be completely filled with coke A (a level meter 13 being on), coke B is charged into the chamber 1 and then the mixing of coke A with coke B is started. After T2 hr calculated by a calculator has elapsed, a switching damper 4' of a branched chute 10' is switched to transport the mixed coke to a hopper 6 for the mixed coke. When T3 hr calculated for coke B to completely fill the chamber 1 has elapsed, the switching damper 4 of the branched chute 10 is switched to tranport coke B to a hopper 7 for coke B. Since the mixing ratio of coke A with coke B can arbitrarily be changed by adjusting the timing of damper switching, an allowable mixing ratio of different kinds of coke can be obtd. by changing e.g. t2 to t'2 or t3 to t'3 .
