Zusammenfassung:	PURPOSE:To keep a prescribed interval between a brake shoe, even if a wheel is shifted longitudinally for a truck framer by the steering action of a wheel shaft. CONSTITUTION:As for a brake device for rolling stock which is installed on a wheel shaft steering type truck and has a brake unit 15 which applies brake by pressing a brake shoe 14 on the tread 13 of the wheel 6 of the truck, the brake shoe unit 15 is installed on a truck frame 1 so as to be shiftable in the longitudinal direction of the wheel 16, and the brake unit 15 and a shaft box 2 side supporting the wheel shaft 7 of the wheel 6 are connected by a link member 18.
