HERMETIC TYPE PRESERVING CONTAINER

PURPOSE: To simplify a detaining mechanism and to reduce a cost by providing either of a cap or container body with ribs, providing the other with recessed grooves to which these ribs are fittable and sliding the cap laterally to fit the ribs and the recessed grooves. CONSTITUTION: This hermetic type preserving container to be hermetically sealed by interposing a gasket 3 into the contact point of the container body 1 with the cap 2 and detaining the cap 2 to the container body 1 is formed by providing the container body 1 with the ribs 4 facing the two sides of the container in the longitudinal direction and providing the inner side of the cap 2 with the hook-shaped recessed grooves 5 to which the ribs 4 are fittable. The hook parts are formed as constricted parts 5a to which the ribs 4 are fitted, by which the detaining mechanism consisting of the recessed grooves 5 and the ribs 4 is formed. The ribs 4 are square-shaped projections and the recessed grooves 5 facing these ribs are provided laterally with the constricted parts 5 and, therefore, the ribs 4 fit into the constricted parts 5a of the recessed grooves 5 when the cap is put on the container body so as to align the ribs 4 and the apertures 5b of the recessed grooves 5 and the cap 2 is slid laterally (arrow A) as it is. The cap 2 is thus securely fixed by the elasticity of the compacted gasket and the container is surely hermetically sealed.
