SERIES DIGITAL SIGNAL SOURCE AND CABLE LOSS SIMULATOR

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To simulate the loss characteristics of a reference co-axial cable with respect to frequency by a T-type bridge circuit-network having a fixed resistance without using an actual cable. SOLUTION: A cable loss simulator 20 is selectively connected to an output path of a series digital signal generator 12 by a switch 16 to generate output signals which are equivalent to the serial digital signals transmitted through a reference co-axial cable. The cable loss simulator 20 is provided with the series digital signal generator 12, a resistance inputting part for causing impedance matching, and a T-shaped bridge part having plural break points, and simulates the loss characteristics of the reference co-axial cable with respect to frequency.
