REINFORCING STRUCTURE OF SUPPORTING GROUND OF STRUCTURE

PURPOSE: To prevent the damage of a structure by mounting a cut-off wall surrounding the lower section of the structure into the ground, fixing a cut-off plate surrounding the lower section of the structure on a cut-off wall in a liquid- tight manner, and installing a sealing material between the structure and the cut-off plate. CONSTITUTION: A structure 12 consisting of a tank is constructed on a banking 24 installed on the ground 14. A cut-off wall 16 composed of solidified column piles, etc., made of soil cement is set up into the ground 14 so as to surround the lower section of the structure 12. A cut-off plate 18 made up of concrete, etc., is mounted so as to surround the lower section of the structure 12 while being fixed onto the cut-off wall 16 in a liquid-tight manner. A flexible sealing material 20 such as an asphalt material is fitted between the structure 12 and the cut-off plate 18. A section between the ground 14 and the cut-off plate 18 is filled with fillers 22 such as foam concrete.
