Zusammenfassung:	PURPOSE: To provide a cleaning device of escalator steps which can clean all the regions of a riser face by preventing the spring-up phenomenon at an upper end of the riser face and the spring-back phenomenon at a lower end of the riser face. CONSTITUTION: A cleaning tool 2 which is in contact with a step 1 is attached to one end of a support arm 3, and the other end of the support arm 3 is rotatably supported by a support rod 6. A first arm suppressing device 8 which regulates a position of the support arm 3 so as to prevent the spring-up phenomenon of the support arm 3 at an upper end 1c of a riser face 15 and a second arm suppressing device 9 which regulates its position so as to prevent the spring- back phenomenon of the support arm 3 at a lower end 1d of the riser face 1b are provided in the vicinity of the other end of the support arm 3.
