DISPLAY DEVICE PROVIDED WITH MOVABLE POLARIZING PLATE

PURPOSE: To accurately and rapidly perform visually confirming display for an operator regardless of the set state of a device and the like by providing a movable polarizing plate disposed between a light source and a transparent plate. CONSTITUTION: This device is provided with the light source 2 arranged in a light source housing 1, the transparent plate 3 closing the housing 1, and the movable polarizing plate 4 disposed between the light source 2 and the transparent plate 3. The light source 2 and the transparent plate 3 are fixed and the polarizing plate 4 is displaced in accordance with the sew state of the display device. As a result, a luminous flux radiated from the light source 2 is polarized in a desired direction by the polarizing plate 4 and then radiated outward from the transparent plate 3. Therefore, the display is controlled to be always easily observed by an operator by properly changing the state of the polarizing plate 4 in accordance with the set state of the display device. Therefore, the confirmation by visual sense is easily performed even in a horizontally set state, a vertically set state or a set state between them.
