METHOD FOR MEASURING MOISTURE CONTENT OF COKE

PURPOSE: To stably obtain an always accurate measured value by replacing the latest output value obtained by measurement with the oldest output value of a corresponding area on all such occasions to update the value. CONSTITUTION: At first, a normal sample 10a is weighed by an electronic balance 11, and a difference between weights is detected. The quantity of normal moisture is detected, and a calibration curve is made by an industrial personal computer 12. And a constant feeder 13 is used, and sample coke 10 is irradiated with infrared rays by an infrared ray moisture meter 15 on the way of transport. The infrared rays reflected therefrom without absorption is measured. In addition, at this time measured data are sampled by the moisture meter 15 at a constant cycle, and an average output value of the coke 10 is found. It is input to the computer 12, and the moisture rate of the coke 10 is calculated from the calibration curve. Collectively, the output value of the moisture meter 15 on the calibration curve is divided into at least three areas, the latest output value data are replaced at the areas, and the calibration curve is renewed.
