Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sensor at a low cost, which can measure the position of belt edge within 5μm. SOLUTION: This sensor is formed out of a photoelectric sensor provided with a LED 42 and a light detecting unit 44, a shutter 40 fitted to a shaft 48 to be rotated in an optical path between the LED 42 and the light detecting unit 44, a narrow and long arm 28, of which one end is mechanically connected to the shaft 48, a contact member 52, which is connected to the other end of the narrow and long arm 28 engaged with a movable photoreceptor surface 12 so that the shutter 40 is rotated when a displacement of edge position of the photoreceptor surface 12 is generated, and a steering roll, which is mechanically connected to the photoreceptor surface 12 and a steering motor connected to the steering roll so that the edge position of the photoreceptor surface 12 is changed in response to the position of the shutter 40 in relation to the optical path between the LED 42 and the light detecting unit 44, and traces the edge position of the movable photoreceptor surface.
