VIDEO TELEPHONE SYSTEM

PURPOSE:To provide a video telephone system which prevents the picture quality degradation of a picture to be generated when performing the A/D conversion of a video signal and decreases the amount of a recording medium. CONSTITUTION:A camera part 11a outputs an image signal. A monitor part 11b inputs the image signal and outputs a picture. A communication control part 13 inputs/outputs a voice signal or the image signal with the outside. At the time of an automatic answering mode, a microprocessor 13f performs automatic incoming call response. An image memory 15g records and reproduces the image signal in the form of a digital signal and a still picture, and an image storage control part 15f controls the image memory 15g. The microprocessor 13f outputs an instruction to record or reproduce the still picture to the image memory 15g and while receiving the instruction, the image memory 15g records or reproduces the still picture.
