RECORDING DEVICE, REPRODUCING DEVICE AND RECORDING AND REPRODUCING DEVICE FOR VIDEO/AUDIO SIGNAL

PURPOSE:To satisfactorily and stably record and reproduce video and audio signals at all times by completely correcting skew generated at a head switching point at the time of reproduction by providing a non-signal term at the head switching point where a track changes at the time of recording, thereby record ing the signals. CONSTITUTION:Switching circuits 19a and 19b are driven by head switching signal synchronized with the rotary phase of a rotary head at the time of reproduction from an input terminal 31, the video signal generates at the output of the switching circuit 19a and the audio due to overlap recording generates at the output of the switching circuit 19b respectively separately. The output of the switching circuit 19a is demodulated by a frequency demodulator 20 and impressed to a time base correction circuit 21. The switching signal is also guided into this correction circuit 21, but synchronized with the non-signal term on a video track prepared at the time of recording. On the other hand, since the skew is generated in this non-signal term by signal processing at the time of recording, the correction circuit 21 can perform skew correction with enough time margin based on the switching signal.
