SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR PROCESSING OF IMAGE FOR PROCESSING OF DIGITAL IMAGE DATA AS WELL AS APPARATUS FOR FORMATION OF OUTPUT DIGITAL COLOR SEPARATION SIGNAL

PURPOSE: To process digital image data in one color format, containing at least three color axes. CONSTITUTION: An image-processing system 10 is provided with a frame storage device 11 or the other source for image data in a 1st color format RGB and transforms these data to data, expressing at least one color compensation. A color rotator 14 for color transform matrix or the like is provided and the data RGB in the 1st color format are rotated to 2nd color format NPQ for each pixel. A look-up table(LUT) 15 determines the range of color values in the 2nd color format, including the values of color separation pixels from the most significant part of data of the rotator 14. In response to the least significant part of data from the rotator 14, an interpolator 16 interpolates data from the LUT 15 and determines the values of color compensation pixels.
