LIGHT VALVE DEVICE, ITS MANUFACTURE AND DISPLAY DEVICE USING THE SAME

PURPOSE:To provide a large scale display device of an active matrix liquid crustal display device, etc., at a low cost by realizing an optical valve device with a high-speed driving property, high resolution and high reliability. CONSTITUTION:In the light valve device constituted of a driving substrate 25, an oppiosite substrate 40 disposed to face oppositely to the driving substrate 25 and an electrooptic material layer 41 arranged between the driving substrate 25 and the opposite substrate 40, 9 supporting body supporting the driving circuit is obtained at least by integrally arranging and forming a driving circuit and a pixel area on a semiconductor substrate, sealing on a formed surface with an impurity barrier layer, thermally softening a press moldable light transmissive material 24 on the surface of the input electrode side of the driving circuit, pressing the material 24 with a molding die, deforming and adhering the material 24 along the rggedness of a driving circuit forming surface, thereafter cooling and hardening them, and thereafter, a driving circuit is manufactured by flatly eliminating the rear surface of the semiconductor substrate while remaining the driving circuit and transferring the driving circuit to the supporting body 24 consisting of the light transmissive material.
