CONSTITUTION:A compound of formula I [R is 1-10C aliphatic hydrocarbon group, 4-10C alicyclic hydrocarbon group, 6-10C aromatic hydrocarbon group, 1-9C heterocyclic group, which may be substututed; R is H, R ; R is H, 1-10C aliphatic hydrocarbon group which may be substituted; when B is H, A is OH, 2-7C acyloxy, 2-5C alkoxycarbonyloxy, 1-7C sulfonyloxy, or A and B together forms a bonding hand; G is groups of formula II to formula V (R , R are 1-10C aliphatic hydrocarbon group which may be substituted; R -R , R -R , R -R are H, 1-10C al iphatic hydrocarbon group which may be substituted); n is 0-2], e.g. 2-phenyl thio-6-[(3-methoxycarbonylmethoxyphenyl) hydroxymethyl]-2-cyclohexenone.
