Zusammenfassung:PURPOSE:To provide the above device which is thin and light, is less restricted in applications and hardly generates light source images by providing the inner side of a milky white translucent surface plate with light sources consisting of parallel arranged neon tubes and providing the rear surface side of these light sources with a roughened flat white reflection layer over the entire part. CONSTITUTION:This device is constituted by fitting the milky white translucent synthetic resin flat plate 1 on the front surface of a rectangular and flat case 10, disposing plural pieces of the straight tubular light sources 2 consisting of the neon tubes on the inner side thereof and providing the rear surface side of these light sources 2 with the surface roughened white reflection layer 3 over the entire part thereof. The white reflection layer 3 is formed by sticking white synthetic paper or synthetic resin film or sheet subjected to surface roughening to the inside base of the case 10 or applying a white coating material contg. coarse particles to the entire part of the base of the case exclusive of a socket 4. The layer covers the surface of a transformer 5 as well. The form of the rough surface is the dense aggregation of dotty projecting parts and the average center height thereof is specified to about 5 to 20mum.
