EQUIPMENT FOR FEEDING VERTICAL MATERIAL TO WELDER

PURPOSE: To save required time and space through improvement of equipment for feeding vertical members, with the purpose of facilitating the feeding to a welding machine, and to enable vertical members to be unloaded on a crossfeed device, at a pitch roughly equal to a required pitch for the vertical members, with a large tolerance until the delivery to the inserting carriage of the welding machine. CONSTITUTION: The vertical member feeding device is provided with a delivery device 12, 13, 14 periodically actuated in order to deliver individual vertical member L to a crossfeed device 16, which loads the vertical member L at mutual intervals nearly equal to the vertical member pitch of a wire grid or lattice. A lifter 27 is provided with a plurality of lift members 29 capable of positioning and elevating into a pitch face 38, an inserting carriage 31 is provided with a plurality of feed clamps 32 capable of positioning into the pitch face 38, and the tongue lever 34, 35 of the feed clamp is designed to be selectively rotatable from a release position to the shift or clamp position of the vertical members.
