FRONTMOUNT AND RIDING TYPE LAWN MOWER

PURPOSE:To provide a riding-type lawn mower capable of preventing the drop of the cutting quality in the case of high cutting, keeping the ground wheel free from the contact with projections of the earth without elevating the frame of the carriage and reducing the noise made by the ground wheel while running on a road. CONSTITUTION:A ground wheel 4 is attached at the rear side of a grass cutting blade-housing 2. The ground wheel 4 is constructed to be able to swing around the center X3 of a lateral shaft via a swinging arm 4A and can control its height. A touching member 4B is placed on the base section of the swinging arm 4A. When the mower M is lifted to a non-working position from the earth, the touching member 4B touches at a fixed part 13 of the body, swings the ground wheel 4 around the swinging fulcrum X3 and widely pulls up the ground wheel 4 from the earth to the non-working position. Further, a spring which pushes down the ground wheel 4 is attached and, accordingly, the spring pushes up the touching member 4B of the swinging arm 4A.
