AGITATING IMPELLER

PURPOSE:To internally release the heat generated when a liq. is mixed and agitated by passing a cooling fluid through the passages in the rotary supporting shaft, upper supporting plate and lower supporting plate constituting an impeller. CONSTITUTION:An upper supporting plate 12 is fixed to the lower end of a rotary supporting shaft 11 in the radial direction of a rotating surface and vertically to the rotating plane. Plural strip-shaped vanes 13 are suspended from the lower end face of the shaft 11 at regular intervals, and a lower supporting plate 14 is fixed to the lower end face of the vane 13. Cooling water passages 31 to 38 are formed in the rotary supporting shaft 11, upper supporting plate 12, vane 13 and lower supporting plate 14. As a result, when the heat is evolved in mixing and agitating, the impeller is sufficiently cooled jointly with a cooling jacket outside the tank.
