VIBRATION DAMPING EQUIPMENT OF OPTICAL DISK PLAYER

PURPOSE: To output a superior sound by providing a damper filled with a viscous fluid, for which silicone oil and a powder are mixed, between a frame attached to the outer case and the chassis of the player body, and thereby attenuating external vibration. CONSTITUTION: A player body, in which a pickup 3, spindle motor 4, disk chuck 6, etc., are loaded on the chassis 12, is supported on a frame 7 attached to the outer case through a coil spring 10. A damper 11 provided between the side panel 8a, 8b of the frame 7 and the chassis 12 is such that the flange 17 of a container 14 is joined to the side panel 8 and that the rod 15 of the chassis 12 is inserted in the joining hole 18 of the container 14. This container 14 consisting of a bellows 16 and a rear cover 19 is filled with a viscous fluid, in which 95-75wt.% of silicone oil with a prescribed viscosity is mixed with 5-30wt.% of silica. As a result, vibration of a low frequency band is greatly attenuated, enabling a superior sound to be outputted.
