METHOD AND DEVICE FOR PACKING OF COIL SHAPED ARTICLE

PURPOSE:To simplify the device, reduce the cost and save the space by a method wherein a pleating motion for a packing paper is performed before the packing paper is wound around a coil, and the packing paper is assuredly fed to the coil. CONSTITUTION:A paper which fits the size of a coil is selected by a packing paper-feeding mechanism A, and the paper is fed by a feeding roll 9. The packing paper 1 is cut by a cutter 10 at a specified length so that the packing paper 1 may fit the size of a coil. The packing paper 1 is pulled by a clamp 2 and transferred to a coil 4. Folding lines are put on the packing paper 1 by a mechanism B for folding in a ridge and valley. Both side parts of the packing paper 1 are bent at a right angle by the dimension which fits the coil width by a longitudinal folding roll mechanism C, and an upside-down groove shape is formed. An overlapping of mountain/valley folded parts is assuredly performed by a guide plate 22 and pressing roll 21. The packing paper 1 which is temporarily taped is held on the outer peripheral surface of the coil by a snubber roll 26, and the coil 4 is rotated on a cradle roll 5 to make the packing paper 1 go along the outer peripheral surface of the coil 4. Then, the packing paper 1 is fed in to pack the coil 4.
