Zusammenfassung:	PURPOSE: To obtain a tape pressing element, especially the tape pressing element having an improved and advantageous embodiment for a recording system wherein the number of track exceeds ten lines and a stationary head is provided with. CONSTITUTION: A tape/head contact is produced by pressing a magnetic tape 11 to the head 14. Here, the weight per unit length of the fiber is specified to be 0.1-5g/10000m, and the weight per unit area of the fiber is specified to be about 20-300g/m . The fiber is mutually, in particular, mechanically combined, and at least a part of the tape pressing element 8 is formed in the shape of a layer 9. The pressure is uniformly applied to all over the width of the magnetic tape 11 with the layer 9.
