Zusammenfassung:PURPOSE:To improve carrier forming efficiency, to improve the sensitivity on a long wavelength side and to obtain the excellent balance of spectral sensitivity and repeating characteristics by consisting a charge generating material of a combination of respectively specific P type and N type charge generating pigments. CONSTITUTION:This electrophotographic photoreceptor has a conductive substrate and a photosensitive layer contg. the charge generating material and the charge transfer material. The charge generating material consists of the combination of the P type charge generating pigment and the N type charge generating pigment and at least a part of the P type and the N type charge generating pigments exist in the form of respective flocs in the photosensitive layer. The flocs of the P type and the N type charge generating pigments existing in the photosensitive layer have the flocculated structure in which plural pieces of the particles of the P type (or N type) charge generating pigments are flocculated via the particles of the N type (or P type) charge generating pigments. These flocs have preferably a grain size of 0.2 to 2mum in general.
