Zusammenfassung:	PURPOSE:To provide a method capable of stably drawing yarn under high speed without causing disturbance of yarn due to steam. CONSTITUTION:In a drawing apparatus provided with a steam-blowing port 4 in a drawing machine having a seal member having a yarn-through port at both ends, this drawing apparatus by steam is characterized in that a yarn squeezing part 3 is provided immediately before contacting the steam with the yarn and the direction of steam blowing port to the travelling direction of the yarn is perpendicular. In a method for drawing the yarn by blowing steam while sealing both ends of the yarn, this drawing method of the yarn by steam is characterized in that the yarn is drawn in a state where steam comes in contact with yarn perpendicularly to the traveling direction of the yarn while squeezing the yarn immediately before contacting steam with the yarn.
