GROUT FOR SOLIDIFYING GROUND

PURPOSE:To provide a ground solidifying grout having improved penetrability into ground and an adjustable gel time by combining a base grout comprising an aqueous sodium silicate with a curing agent comprising specified calcium silicate and slaked lime. CONSTITUTION:This grout comprises a base grout (A) comprising an aqueous sodium silicate solution and a curing agent comprising a dispersion of a mixture of a calcium silicate component (B) having a Blaine value of 7000-9000cm /g and slaked lime component (C) having a grain size of 149mum and a residue content of 1% or below in a B/C weight ratio of 8-1/3. The mixing ratio is such that 0.8-3.0 pts.wt. total of components B and C are present per unit pt.wt. of pere sodium silicate of component A. It is desirable that component B has the finest possible particle diameter. The gel time can be adjusted to a time ranging from several seconds to several minutes by varying the B/C ratio, and therefore the grout has a low viscosity, excellent workability and penetrability into ground and high homogel strength.
