THAWING DEVICE

PURPOSE:To automatically switch the operation of a thawing device used for a thawing operation and a cooling operation to improve the operability of the device for users. CONSTITUTION:When the thawing device is subjected to a thawing operation, a compressor 17 is controlled based on the output of a sucked air temperature sensor 33 and on a set temperature, and when the compressor 17 is stopped, heat is generated with a defrosting heater 27 and a heating heater 28. When the thawing device is subjected to a cooling operation, the heat generations of the defrosting heater 27 and the heating heater 28 are stopped. A duct member 36 having good heat conductivity is disposed from the upper part of a thawing chamber 8 to its lower part, while forming a space between the duct member and a heat-insulating box 2. Air passed through the space and subjected to a heat exchange with a cooler 8, the defrosting heater 27 and the heating heater 28 is blown into the thawing chamber 8. When the difference between a blown air temperature detected with a blown air temperature sensor 23 and a temperature detected with the sucked air temperature sensor 33 is lowered below a constant value, the thawing operation is changed to the cooling operation.
