AMPBLOCK SYSTEM WAX TYPE THERMOSTAT

PURPOSE:To provide a thermostat excellent in durability to eliminate worsening performance even for a long period by using solid particulates with small changing physical properties due to a temperature and small deformation due to a load as a pressure transmitting medium in the ampblock system wax type thermostat. CONSTITUTION:By expanding the volume of wax 11 by a temperature rise in a temperature sensing part of a ampblock system wax type thermostat, swelling a diaphragm 3 for sealing an upper end surface of the wax 11, and by lifting a piston 5 by a pressure transmitter 18 sealed in amp space 16 in the upper part, in the case of converting a temperature change into a stroke of the piston 5, by using a metal ball or the like of 0.5 to 3.0mm diameter for solid particulates 18 as the pressure transmitting durability, response characteristic and a temperature stroke characteristic of the thermostat are remarkably improved higher than in the case of using a high viscous fluid, non-compressive elastic material, etc, as the pressure transmitting medium.
