Zusammenfassung:	PURPOSE:To eliminate the trouble in a concd. soln., to make it easy to handle and to reduce the waste packaging material by preparing a common developer with a solid developer contg. alkali silicate and adding org. solvent in the preparation. CONSTITUTION:A photosensitive lithographic printing plate is developed with a common developer of the positive and negative photosensitive lithographic printing plates contg. alkali silicate and org. solvent. The common developer is prepared by a solid developer containing alkali silicate, and org. solvent is added in the preparation. Namely, the common developer is separated into a solid developer and org. solvent in physical distribution, and the org. solvent is added to the solid developer to prepare the desired developer. The solid developer contains at least one kind selected from potassium silicate, sodium silicate, sodium metasilicate, potassium metasilicate, ammonium silicate, etc.
