OPTICAL PICKUP DRIVING DEVICE

PURPOSE: To eliminate the load of a moving motor for an optical pickup and to enable the high speed searching by driving an actuator coil for fine adjustment of an objective lens. CONSTITUTION: When a prescribed voltage is applied on movable coils 21, 21' of a moving motor 20 for an optical pickup, the coils 21, 21' are moved along yoke members 23, 23'. A carriage 25 with a wheel to which the coils 21, 21' are attached, an optical pickup movable part 40 mounted on the carriage and actuator coils 46, 46', 47, 47' for the objective lens of the movable part 40 are moved altogether. Consequently, the movable part 40 is moved to a desired position of an optical disk and information is searched. When tracking error/ focusing error in a target track of the searched optical disk are generated, the error signal is detected by a photodetector 35 of an optical pickup fixed part 30 and the actuator coils 46, 46', 47, 47' are operated based on the detected error signal, respectively.
