WATER ABSORBER IN WATER STORAGE TANK

PURPOSE:To absorb a supernatant liquid section in a water tank regardless of the fluctuation of a water level by elevating and lowering a float with the variation of the water level and also lifting and lowering an intake port simultaneously. CONSTITUTION:The end section of an intake pipe 2 is piped up to a section near the bottom of a water storage tank 1 along a wall surface 1a, and the intake pipe 2 is fixed by brackets 3. An elbow 4 is connected at the lower end of the intake pipe 2, the elbow 4 and a horizontal pipe 5 horizontally arranged along a base 1d are connected through a swivel joint 6, and a shaft 7 protruded along the axis of the horizontal pipe 5 is borne rotatably at the end section of the horizontal pipe 5. A branch pipe 5a orthogonal to the horizontal pipe 5 is mounted on its midway of the horizontal pipe 5 and connected with a boom pipe 10, and the boom pipe 10 is brought to a freely lifting and lowering state. A horizontal pipe 11 is connected rotatably with an elbow 4 at the free end of the boom pipe 10 through a swivel joint 6, and a box-shaped float 13 is installed to the intake port 12 of the drum section of the horizontal pipe 11 through a bracket 14. The float 13 is lifted and lowered with the vertical movement of a water surface WL in the water storage tank 1, and the intake port 12 is positioned near the water surface at all times and takes in supernatant water having little contamination.
