FILE RETRIEVAL PRINT METHOD

PURPOSE:To reduce the processing time by generating a retrieved document/ image picture, its front cover, a transmission slip and an instruction sheet or the like and sorting them automatically to an output means and providing an output in parallel. CONSTITUTION:An electronic filing device used for the method is made up of an image read means 2 such as a scanner reading a document image picture, a display means 1 displaying a read document/image picture, a storage means 9 providing retrieval information to the read document/image picture and storing the result, a retrieval means retrieving a desired document/image picture from a storage medium 10, and plural output means 3, 4 providing an output of the retrieved document/image picture, and also with a front cover generating means 6 generating or entering a front cover, or a transmission slip or an instruction sheet or the like with respect to the retrieved document/image picture by the retrieval means 8 and provides an output of the front cover, or the transmission slip or the order sheet or the like generated by the front cover generating means 6 automatically to a specific output means automatically without designation of the output destination.
