EGGSSHELL CUTTING DEVICE

PURPOSE:To provide an eggshell cutting device and a cutting method by which a part of an eggshell can be cut in a round shape of an optional size without creating a crack practically. CONSTITUTION:A cutting device is composed of a holder 6 to hold an egg 5 in a prescribed position, a cylinder type cutter 10 which is cylindrical and has a cutter on one end, a cutter driving motor 12 to rotate the cutter, a cutter position control motor 21 to move the cutter rectilinearly vertically and a controller 32. The egg 5 is fixed in a prescribed position by the holder 6 so that a head top part is turned upward, and the cylinder type cutter 10 is turned toward the egg and is lowered from above by the cutter position control motor 21, and the cylinder type cutter is pushed against the head top part of the egg, and is rotated, and a part of an eggshell of the egg 25 is cut open. Thereby, since the tip of the cylinder type cutter butts the eggshell uniformly and presses it by uniform force, when it is cut, concentrated stress is not caused in a part of the eggshell, so that the occurrence of a crack by cutting can be prevented.
