METHOD FOR STARTING BATCH JOB FROM ON-LINE PROCESSING SYSTEM

PURPOSE:To execute jobs corresponding to processing requests in parallel by starting a batch processing program by generating job control statements by the processing requests while changing job names and file names when processing requests of the same kind are concurrently generated by plural terminals. CONSTITUTION:A job control statement which starts the batch processing program is separated into a program control procedure and a procedure start common job control statement and resources such as the job name of the common job control statement and an in-use work file are dynamically secured for the processing requests. Then the program control procedure is started from the batch job of the procedure start common job control statement. Consequently, parallel processing by the same batch processing program is enabled and the wait time of batch jobs is shortened. Therefore, one user never waits for processing for a long time and this method greatly contributes to the improvement of on-line operability.
