SEAMING PART INSPECTION DEVICE

PURPOSE:To carry out the inspection with a high precision in a simple operation by constantly pressing an anvil and a prove of a seaming thickness measuring part, and a probe of the seaming width measuring part against a can at a specific position of a seaming part with a specific pressure. CONSTITUTION:A working lever 26 of a seaming thickness measuring part is turned in the direction of the arrow to extend the space between a prove 25a and an anvil of a measuring instrument 25. A measuring lever 34 and a fixed lever 35 of the seaming width measuring part are held to retract a probe 34c to the retracting position. In this condition, a can 1 is loaded in a gage ring 15, and positioned at the measuring position. The anvil 24 and the prove 25a are abutted on a chuck wall and a seaming wall of the seaming part by returning the working lever 26, the measuring lever 34 and the fixed lever 35 to the original position, and the measurement is made by abutting the probe 34c on a cover hook radius. The seaming thickness and the seaming width can be simultaneously inspected, and the rapid and easy measurement of an arbitrary position of the seaming part can be made only by turning the can 1 within the gage ring 15.
