CAPACITANCE TRIMMING METHOD FOR THICK FILM PRINTED CAPACITOR

PURPOSE:To trim the capacitance of a capacitor by connecting/disconnecting an auxiliary electrode electrically with/from a body electrode. CONSTITUTION:An electrode 6 coupled electrically with an electrode 2 and an independent electrode 6' not coupled electrically with the electrode 2 constitute auxiliary electrodes. The body electrode, i.e., the electrodes 2 and 4, have additional electrodes 7 opposing to the auxiliary electrodes. The auxiliary electrode 6 is provided, at a part close to the lead part 2', with a cutting part and the auxiliary electrode 6 is cut thereat. Alternatively, the auxiliary electrode 6' is provided, at a part close to the lead part 2' shown by a hatched part 10, with an electrode exposing part not covered with an insulation layer 5 and the auxiliary electrode 6' is brought into electrical contact with a exposed part of the lead part 2'. This method allows increase and decrease of the capacitance of a printed capacitor thus allowing the trimming of capacitance.
