Zusammenfassung:PURPOSE:To obtain a sodium-sulfur battery thermal pressure contact part having a U-like groove easily by bonding a material, which is obtained by pinching a high melting point insert material with low melting point insert material at a width wider than that of the high melting point insert material, as an insert material. CONSTITUTION:A solid electrolyte tube 1 is surrounded by a positive electrode tube 4, and an insulating ceramic ring 3 is solder-connected to an open end of the tube 1. A negative electrode flange 1a made of metal and a positive electrode flange 4a made of metal are bonded to this ring 3 so as to pinch the ring 3 at the upper and the lower surfaces of the ring 3. This bonding is performed by arranging an insert material 2 between the negative electrode flange 1a - the ring 3 and the positive electrode flange 4a - the ring 3, and performing the thermal pressure contact. A material, which is obtained by pinching a high melting point insert material 2b between low melting point insert materials 2a having a width longer than that of the high melting point insert material 2b, is used as an insert material, and bonding is performed by heating this insert material at a temperature for melting only the low melting point insert material and pressurizing and holding it.
